Amazing how quickly another week has started.  Before I realized it, here I am back at work and almost a whole week has gone by without posting.  Of course that wasn't my intention, but then again, the world is paved with good intentions isn't it?

v36.1: Happy Monday

Good morning folks,

I know you typically don't use the words "Happy" and "Monday" together but today is a special kind of Monday for me.  We had a long weekend this past weekend and my "Monday" is actually Tuesday which means I'm already a day ahead.  I love short weeks after a long weekend; much better than having a long weekend followed by a regular week.

v36.0: Terrible TLAs

It has been awhile since I last posted.  I'm not exactly sure what the issue is but I can never seem to find the right time to post.  My mornings have been super busy and since I started training my replacement for my old team, I'm finding I'm busy from the moment I walk in the door until I get a chance to leave for home.  Lately I've been putting in close to 10hr days; it is starting to burn me out.

Howdy folks,

Today the Royal Canadian Navy celebrates 100 years of service.  The city was all a buzz today as military personnel paraded the streets in their dress uniforms.  The HMCS Fredericton even made it into port early this morning just in time for the celebrations.  It was a proud day not only for all Canadian people, but especially for those who have friends and loved ones who serve, or have served.
